SEGGER tools fully support NXP’s Cortex-M3™ based LPC176x series

SEGGER Microcontroller has released middleware and debugging products for the LPC176x series of ARM Cortex-M3™ based microcontrollers from NXP Semiconductor. SEGGER’s complete middleware set includes embOS (RTOS), embOS/IP (TCP/IP Stack), emWin (GUI), emFile (File System) and emUSB (USB Stack). Debugging solutions include the market leading J-Link emulator and the brand new J-Trace for Cortex–M3, which enables instruction tracing via ARM's embedded trace macrocell. Flash breakpoints allow setting an unlimited number of breakpoints in flash. Production choices include the Flasher, a stand-alone programming tool that provides fast and easy programming options for ARM and Cortex-M3 devices or J-Link with J-Flash which can be used to program the flash memory of the devices.

“We are proud to be one of the first companies to offer our complete product range right from the start for the new LPC176x series,” said Rolf Segger, CEO of SEGGER.

All products follow the same strict yet efficient SEGGER coding and documentation standards. These, along with the large number of application samples provided, make it easy to exploit the full potential of the device.
